The Share Portal panel manages the discovery portal for your case. Invite external users by email, assign tag-level permissions (view or upload), manage active discovery users, track pending invitations, and revoke access when needed. For the full discovery portal guide, see the dedicated section.
Inviting a discovery user via share portal
Enter the recipient's email address in the Email address field and click Send Invite. Before sending, you can optionally assign tag-level permissions using the permission checkboxes below the email field. Each tag can allow view access, upload access, or both.
The recipient receives an email invitation with a link to access the portal. Once accepted, they appear in the Discovery Users tab.
Share portal Discovery Users tab
The Discovery Users tab lists all external users who've accepted their invitation and have active access. Each row shows the user's email, name, join date, and a summary of their tag permissions. Two actions are available:
- Edit permissions - Opens a dialog to update which folders the user can view or upload to.
- Remove user - Revokes the user's access to the portal. Files they previously uploaded remain in the case.
Share portal Pending tab
The Pending tab shows invitations sent but not yet accepted. Each row displays the email address, the send date, and the expiration date. Expired invitations are marked with a badge. Two actions are available:
- Resend invitation - Sends a new invitation email, which is useful if the original expired or was not received.
- Revoke invitation - Cancels the invitation so the recipient can no longer accept it.
Share portal tag permissions
Tag permissions control what each discovery user can see and do within the portal. For each tag you can grant:
- View - The user can see and download files in that folder.
- Upload - The user can upload files into that folder.
You can set permissions during invitation and update them at any time from the Discovery Users tab. For the complete discovery portal workflow, see the Discovery Portal section.
