The Members tab lets organization administrators invite team members by email, view active members and pending invitations, resend or revoke invitations, and remove members. Seat usage is tracked against your plan's quota.

How to invite organization members

Click Invite Memberto open the invitation dialog. Enter the person's email address and click Send Invite. The invitation appears in the Pending Invitations table until the recipient accepts. Once accepted, the member moves to Active Members.

The invite button is disabled when your organization has reached its seat quota (active members plus pending invitations). To invite more people, upgrade your plan or remove existing members to free a seat.

Active members

The Active Members table shows each member's email address, role (Admin or Member), and join date. Admins can access the Members, Plan, and Billing tabs. Regular members see personal settings only.

To remove a member, click the delete icon next to their name. A confirmation dialog appears before the member is removed. You cannot remove yourself or other administrators from this panel.

Pending invitations

The Pending Invitations table lists invitations that haven't been accepted yet. For each one you can resend the email (email icon) or revoke the invitation (delete icon). Revoking frees the seat for another invite.

Organization members vs. case members

Organization members and case members serve different purposes. Organization members are managed here in Account Settings and control who can access your Hintyr workspace. Case members are managed within each case through Case Settings and control who can view and edit a specific case.

A person must first be an organization member before they can be added to a case. Removing someone from the organization removes them from all cases too.

Seat quota

Your plan determines how many seats are available. The header of the Members panel displays the current seat usage, including both active members and pending invitations. If you need additional seats, visit the Plan tab to upgrade to a plan with more seats.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change a member's role from Member to Admin?
Role changes are not currently supported through the Members panel. Contact Hintyr support to change a member's role.
What happens to a member's case access when I remove them?
Removing a member from the organization also removes them from all cases they were a part of. Their previously contributed work (documents, tags, annotations) is preserved.
Can I invite someone who already has a Hintyr account?
Yes. If the email address belongs to an existing Hintyr user, they will receive an invitation to join your organization. They can accept without creating a new account.
Why is the Invite Member button disabled?
The button is disabled when your active members plus pending invitations have reached your plan's seat quota. Upgrade your plan or remove a member to free up a seat.
